First Angela, Hazel snd myself started our Virus Shawls on the Bank Holiday Monday in May, which we thought was a great fun project, little did we know just how popular it would become by the end of that week 7 more students were making them and by the end of the month we have lost count of how many Virus shawls are made and being made, with some people on their second and third ones. Great for presents is what we keep hearing.
The Virus keeps spreading …..
Lots of people at The Crochet Lounge, our students and lots of our customers and Facebook friends and followers working on a virus shawl, are using the fabulous King Cole Riot, which is an Acrylic and Wool mix and the way the colour changes really lends itself well to this style of repeating pattern.
So today we thought it might be nice to show some of the ones in the Riot that are work in progress or finished.

There more colours of the Riot available too ….. and we have many new colours in stock. My personal favourites are the Rhapsody and the Caribbean although they are all beautiful.
Different wools and Yarns also look great. Sharon has made one in a Chunky (right) and Carol in a Flash called Candy (bottom left) and Angela is working on a Pink Glitz shawl (top left)

At The Crochet Lounge we are getting in the Summer mood !
It was thinking of summer days, holidays and of course the beach which inspired us to show you these pretty baby Wools we have in the shop. Soft yellow for the sand, ocean, the blue skies and fluffy white clouds !
Shown here are the baby Glitz and the Cherish. From a wide range of King Cole Baby Wools, which are just so soft.
If you are in the Southend area why not pop in and see our lovely Wool Shop.

Jo will teach how to make the motifs, how to join and put together and give lots of ideas how to edge it, adapt it and make it your own.
